Next trip Norway 8th – 25th August 2025 – 5190 miles
Planning soon to be completed
With the diverse weather conditions Norway will throw at us this will be great practice for next years global adventure. Anything packed for this trip will be coming around the world with us! Bike luggage, cooking equipment, clothes & gadgets. If they are not used on this trip then they will be left at home! Only change will be the motorbikes… Sadly I don’t think my Multistrada 1260 S will take another 50000 miles in such a short time.
Leaving after work on Friday 8th August we ride to Harwich for the overnight ferry to Hook of Holland. This journey will be mainly on dual carriageways. This allows us time to fuel the bikes and ourselves before we board the ship Stena Britannica. It departs at 23:00. Should be time for a beer or two before getting our heads down in the cabin. We arrive in Holland a 08:00 giving us a full day of riding through Holland, Germany & into Denmark.
Day 2 will get us to the port of Hirtshals in Denmark ready for our crossing into Norway.
We then have 13 days to explore Norway’s mountains and coastline. During this time, we will cross the Arctic Circle. We will then journey all the way up to Nordkapp (North Cape), the northernmost point in Europe. Afterward, we will return south back to Kristiansand via Sweden.
I have identified a campsite for our first night in Norway. Then we will play it by ear. We will ride until we are ready to stop. Wild camping is an option so I can see us making good use of our stoves several nights.
The Norway route is a hybrid of many earlier traveled routes. I have taken the best bits from these to create what I believe will be a fantastic adventure. Once it has been ridden, & we have identified places of interest. We can recommend these, and it will be a great addition to our store.
