The adventure began straight after work on May 1st. I hit the road from Cambridgeshire, taking the fastest, most scenic route I could find—without touching a motorway (because let’s be honest, motorways are for commuters, not adventurers).

The evening ride was dry, warm, and unexpectedly beautiful—the kind of ride that reminds you why you love two wheels in the first place. As the sun dipped low, the curves got sweeter and the grin under my helmet grew wider 😁

I rolled into Caernarfon just before 9pm, where the other two riders were already settled at the youth hostel. No time wasted—we grabbed a few Welsh Pride beers 🍺🍺🍺 and caught up on plans, weather, and wild guesses about what kind of madness Ireland might throw our way.

The real journey starts tomorrow… but tonight, it’s about good mates, good beer, and the buzz of the road ahead 🔧🏕️🌙 #WildAtlanticWay
