Day 3 – Low Tyre Pressure & High Spirits: Killarney to Adare
Date: May 4th, 2025
Day 3 had everything. There were incredible roads and ridiculous views. It also included a small reminder that motorbike adventures don’t always go to plan.
Low tyre pressure or not, this turned into one of the standout days of the trip.
We left the Killarney campsite bright and early… until my low tyre pressure warning lit up like a Christmas tree 🎄😬
Pulled over, checked for punctures—nothing obvious. A quick blast of air and we were back on the road 🛠️🏍️, chasing the legendary Ring of Kerry 🌄.
After countless scenic bends, we rode over the bridge to Valentia Island 🌉. It was windswept and wildly beautiful. Then we caught the ferry to Renard Point ⛴️.
The Dingle Peninsula isn’t just a ride — it’s the kind of road that makes you forget everything else.
The N70 delivered big, curving along the coast as we made our way to the Dingle Peninsula 🌊. Think towering cliffs, sea spray, and sheep with zero respect for the highway 🐑
This ride forms part of our full Ireland motorcycle tour — you can see the full route and plan here.
We continued our journey around the Wild Atlantic Way 🌬️, every mile more photogenic than the last. Eventually, we turned inland, rolling into our campsite near Adare ⛺, tired but buzzing.
Three days in, and the views keep levelling up while my rear tyre keeps playing games… but so far, Ireland: 3, Trouble: 0 💪
At one point we just pulled over. We killed the engines and took it all in. There was no rush and nowhere to be. It was just the Atlantic doing its thing.
Tomorrow (day 4) we have another ferry crossing & the Cliffs of Moher
