Day 2 – Cork Curves, Healy Pass & the First Guinness 🍻🏍️🌅

Day 2 was all about curves, coastlines, and discovering the joy of Irish roads. We went southwest from Dublin. We stopped in Kinsale for the freshest fish and chips. We enjoyed the sweeping bends of West Cork. Every mile reminded us why Ireland is such a motorcycle paradise.

We pointed the bikes east then south, chasing the tarmac along the stunning West Cork coastal route 🌊 all the way to Castle Lower on the Wild Atlantic Way, and then it was time for the star of the day: Healy Pass 😍

And let me tell you, it was so good… we did it twice 🔁.

This ride is part of our full Ireland motorcycle tour — see the complete route and guide here.

We stopped at the summit for photos 📸. Our jaws were somewhere near our boots from the views along the Wild Atlantic Way. We stretched our legs on the Ring of Beara 🦵. There was more scenic swooping. We also stopped quickly at Eyeries. This postcard-worthy village practically begged for more photos along the Wild Atlantic Way. Naturally, we obliged 📷

We stopped on a quiet hilltop overlooking the harbor. We soaked in the calm. Then, the bikes called us back on the road.

Then it was back up Healy Pass again—because why not?—but this time we turned right and made our way to the campsite in Killarney ⛺.

With camp set up, we walked into town 🚶‍♂️. The craic was mighty. We finally had our first Guinness of the trip 🍺🇮🇪. Smooth, creamy, and well-earned.

So far: epic roads, double doses of passes, and a proper Irish welcome at the end. Not bad for Day 2. Not bad at all 👍
